How many treatments do I need?

Is the Dermal Pen Pro safe?
It’s considered safe for most people who are in overall good health as well as for ALL skin types (as per the Fitzpatrick Skin Scale). Avoid this treatment if you suffer from psoriasis or eczema, cystic acne or keloid scarring. Also avoid if you are pregnant or have open wounds on the treatable area.
Should I avoid any treatment or products prior to Micro-Needling?
- Stop using retinol 3 days prior to this treatment and 2 weeks prior for prescriptive retinoids.
- If you suffer from herpes simplex then use Zovirax or similar in the 3 days leading up to the treatment.
- Avoid salon rejuvenation treatments including salon peels and microdermabrasion for 2 weeks leading up to your treatment.
- Avoid dermal filler treatments within 4 weeks leading up to your treatment
- Avoid deep chemical peels and ablative or non-ablative laser treatments 6 months prior to this treatment.
- For those with diabetes, you will need a doctor's consent.
What's included?
We will book out 40-60 mins for your treatment with the actual treatment time being about 30 mins or less. There is no anaesthetic required.
What will my skin look like post-treatment?
Your skin will look flushed directly after the treatment, much like after a vigorous workout. and you may have some pinpoint bleeding in certain areas. You will be amazed at how quickly it goes away. On the evening of your treatment your skin will feel tight and plump and the next day your skin will be much calmer and you can return to your everyday activities – there is almost no downtime required!
When do I see results?
Visible results can be seen in as little as 14 days post-treatment. Deeper skin concerns such as uneven tone and texture, fine lines and acne scarring will improve with the collagen regeneration process in about 2-4 weeks following the treatment. The most dramatic results will occur 6-12 weeks after your final treatment in your course.
