Dermalux LED Phototherapy has a high safety profile with minimal risk of irritation or side effects, as evidenced by over 3,000 published clinical studies. However, individuals on photosensitive medications or with specific health conditions should consult their healthcare provider prior to treatment due to potential increased sensitivity to light exposure.

Dermalux LED has a high safety profile. It is clinically proven to be safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin conditions.

Dermalux has not been tested on individuals under the age of 16. 

It is not recommended to use Dermalux LED Phototherapy on clients currently undergoing cancer treatment. Treatment can be considered once the client has been cleared by their oncologist or doctor. Dermalux is safe for use on clients who have completed cancer treatment.

While Dermalux LED Phototherapy is generally safe, its effects have not been extensively studied in pregnant women. Therefore, use during pregnancy is at the discretion of the healthcare provider. The treatment is considered safe for clients who are breastfeeding.

Dermalux LED Phototherapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses clinically proven wavelengths of light to rejuvenate and repair the skin. Unlike other light-based treatments such as laser or IPL, Dermalux LED Phototherapy is suitable for all skin types, during all seasons and does not cause thermal damage or discomfort. It can effectively treat a variety of skin concerns with no downtime.

Dermalux LED Phototherapy can treat a wide range of skin conditions including medical indications such as acne, psoriasis and pain management. It is also used from many cosmetic indications inculding signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles. It also aids in wound healing, modules inflammation, and promotes overall skin health.

Some users of LED Phototherapy may experience non-permanent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) after intense treatments where the LEDs are in contact with the skin. To mitigate this risk, Dermalux insists on maintaining a minimum distance of 2.5cm between the skin and the LEDs when using the Flex MD device.
